Penfibre first started as a producer of polyester fibre in 1973.
With the setting-up of the Film Division in Penfibre in 1997, Toray Group (Malaysia) joined the ranks of the select group of Polyethylene Terephthalate Film (Polyester Film) producers in the world. The polyester film produced by Penfibre and marketed under the trade name "TORAY LUMIRROR" is a high performance engineering plastic film. These biaxially-oriented polyester films with high-quality mechanical, thermal and electrical properties are extensively used as components in the electrical, electronic and packaging industries. |
